Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) was established in Adilabad, Telangana, by the Government of Andhra Pradesh in 2008. It was the vision of former Chief Minister Dr. Y.S. Raja Shekar Reddy. The institute started operating on August 24, 2008, offering various medical services including general medicine, surgery, pediatrics, and more. To enhance its facilities, the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare initiated a project and appointed Hites as the project consultant, with KMV as the executing agency.
